Team Lead - Automation (Hardware Team)

Role Overview: As the R&D - Mechatronics Lead, your primary role will involve leading the design, development, and implementation of mechatronic hardware systems for our products. You will be responsible for ensuring that the team delivers robust, efficient, and reliable hardware solutions that meet product specifications and market requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Adopt and apply appropriate technical and quality strategies and standards. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders and maintain project plans to ensure awareness of potential interdependencies with other projects. - Identify cost reduction methodologies and review the Hardware Requirements Specification (HRS) with the application team to align with project goals. - Ensure the reliable Electrical/ Embedded hardware system for the requirements received from the application team. - Review and ensure timely delivery of quality design documents; responsible for hardware components procurement follow-up with SCM. - Plan, manage, and co-ordinate projects to meet project specifications and objectives; keep close control of project scope and address scope changes promptly. - Assist with progress chasing and expediting of supplier deliveries; identify potential areas of hardware innovations. - Conduct lessons learned activities throughout the project lifecycle and lead the implementation of improvements. - Manage and mentor a team of engineers by providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure team success. - Understand the strengths and weaknesses of each team member, effectively allocate resources, and assign tasks aligning with individual skills and expertise.
