Role: Teacher

Location: Graphite Road, Bangalore

Education: B.Ed / M.Ed

Experience: 0 to 5 years

Timings: from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday) and from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (alternate Saturdays)

Duties and Responsibilities:
Validating the human in each child and nurture their minds in order to prevent damage and creating resilient individuals. Forming secure relationships with the child and doing right by them by encouraging I am who I am” Set a WPM (Work Plan) & meet each of the goals established in child’s WPM. Be a part of the child’s WPM team, along with parents, administrators and other teachers, to see that the WPM goals of the child are met. Ensuring a physical, emotional and intellectually safe environment for students. Application of developmental and educational psychology concepts towards child learning and holistic development of the child. Detection of learning disabilities, recognizing developmental milestones and any behavioural or cognitive struggle a child might be facing. Devising and implementing techniques that cater to developing self-expression and emotional wellbeing of the child. Set challenging but realistic goals keeping the child’s abilities in mind and enable the child to strive for their best. Remaining professional at all times when working with children with exceptional educational needs. Be patient and understanding to work with students who may be uncooperative or difficult to access.

Skills / Abilities / Personal characteristics:
Positive attitude and intrinsic motivation to work with children. Patience and ability to establish a good rapport with parents and children. Should be willing to understand the learning needs and associated behavioral problems of children. Good communication skills.
