An opportunity has arisen in Airbus Customer Services, to join Technical Data Support & Services - India, which is in charge of developing, delivering and supporting on aircraft maintenance documentation, to enable the safe and efficient operations and maintenance by our customers (airlines, MRO, lessors).
Technical Data is organized in 5 cross-natco Domains and 5 local lines and the position is opened in India local line - IISBD. The position is functionally aligned with SIDB Domain which offers a wide view on Maintenance Documentation: From the Design Office who is at the origin of the design and evolution of aircraft design, to the Authoring Domains in charge of documenting their impact in Technical Data products (manuals), and to the support to our customers who are operating and maintaining aircraft Systems. Delivering the complete documentation at aircraft entry into service and maintaining it during the complete aircraft life cycle is our main mission, and is part of the airworthiness requirements.

Additionally, an important mission is to prepare for the future (process automation, development of solution & technologies to bring significant efficiency) in the frame of Customer Services Ambition 2030 ( Efficient TechData cornerstone ). To augment and accelerate this mission, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of knowledge representation and machine learning. You will be responsible for developing our advanced, logically-driven databases while also contributing to the creation of end-to-end AI and Generative AI project pipelines. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with a passion for building intelligent systems that combine structured knowledge with modern predictive models.
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role requires a unique blend of skills in data analysis, software engineering, and project management. You will be instrumental in both hands-on technical execution and the management of data-centric projects. Youll lead initiatives to reverse-engineer digital data links from complex technical data (including AMM data) to gain a deep understanding of our technical data business at Airbus. In this role, you will not only transform raw data into actionable knowledge but also manage the end-to-end lifecycle of automation projects, uncovering new business insights that directly influence our strategy.
Key Responsibilities - Drives data analysis activities , translating complex data (as Aircraft Maintenance Manual data) into business insights

Transforms unstructured data into organized, structured formats to enable advanced processing and knowledge representation.

Employs advanced analytical techniques , including natural language processing, machine learning, and generative AI, to uncover hidden patterns and opportunities.

Managing automation and data analysis projects from initial scoping and planning through to execution, monitoring, and final delivery.

Facilitates collaboration between developers and business stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Communicates key findings and recommendations to stakeholders, providing data-driven guidance that directly influences strategic decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
a. Professional and Technical skills
2-5 years of professional experience in a software engineering or data-focused role.

Excellent communication/presentation skills

Project Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing technical projects. Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools is highly desirable.

Programming & Data Handling: Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python) with specific experience in parsing and manipulating semi-structured data formats like XML. Familiarity with libraries like Beautiful Soup for data extraction is a plus.

Advanced Analytics & AI Skills : Familiarity with modern analytical methodologies, including Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning (ML) etc.

Experience with ML Pipelines: Hands-on experience developing components of machine learning pipelines using Python and relevant frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Experience with Generative AI: Understanding of GenAI concepts, including LLMs, vector databases and agentic frameworks.

Full-Stack Capability: Ability to contribute to development across the stack, from the database backend to the GUI frontend.

Experience in Database Development: Building and managing databases, with a strong preference for knowledge graphs (TypeDB, Neo4j) or logical databases (Datalog), will be an added advantage.
