Tax Staff

Role Overview: As a Tax Staff member at Instead, you will be responsible for supporting the team in identifying tax savings opportunities for clients through strategic tax planning and implementation. Your role will involve working closely with individuals and businesses, guiding them through the tax advisory process, and ensuring seamless execution from planning to filing. You will collaborate with the US and India teams, as well as US-based tax & accounting firm partners, to deliver comprehensive tax advisory services. Key Responsibilities: - Support clients in identifying tax savings opportunities and implement tax strategies using Instead.com - Prepare federal and multi-state tax returns for various forms depending on your expertise - Assist in tax planning engagements and conduct research on relevant tax issues - Collaborate with managers and partners on client matters while fostering client relationships - Aid in quarterly estimates preparation and tax return filing with Instead software Qualifications Required: - Minimum 3 years of public accounting experience with exposure to tax compliance - Proficiency in preparing returns for some or all of the following forms: 1040, 1041, 1120, 1120S, 1065 - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment - Desire to learn and develop skills in tax advisory services - Good communication skills for client interactions Company Details: Instead's investors include prominent names such as Sarah Guo from Conviction, IRIS, and leading professionals from renowned companies like Gusto, Intuit, and PwC.
