Tax Senior Associate, Pass Through Consulting

Role Overview: You will be a part of the Pass-through Consulting Group (PSCG) at RSM, where you will focus on core tax issues impacting the firm's client base, including a wide range of pass-through entities from billion-dollar investment funds to high-tech startups. As a Partnership Allocation and Capital Specialist, you will collaborate with local offices to develop, implement, and maintain models for allocating taxable income among partners and managing capital account records. Senior Managers on your team will oversee multiple projects, lead trainings, and coordinate with specialists and local teams. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize firm standard tools and software to compute allocations of section 704(b) income, maintain adjustments under sections 704(c) and 743, and manage section 704(b) and tax capital records. - Interpret operating agreements and other documents to determine their impact on allocations and capital, collaborating with staff to create client-specific models. - Explain complex sections 704(b), 704(c), and other SubChapter K concepts and issues to team members, local offices, and clients. - Act as a key member of the engagement team for private equity funds, portfolio companies, and other high-profile clients. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field. - 2-3 years of experience in partnership taxation at a Big 4 or a large national, regional, or local accounting firm, or equivalent experience in industry or with a law firm. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to quickly learn and implement new software tools. - Strong project management, leadership, and client interaction skills. - Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and highly disciplined. Preferred Qualifications: - Master's in Accounting, Master's in Taxation, or MBA is preferred.
