Tax Interns

As an Income Tax Associate at MobilitySQR, you will play a crucial role in handling India and US tax returns for individuals and expat clients globally. Your responsibilities will include: - Verifying and organizing client-provided documentation such as Form 16, AIS, 26AS, and bank/investment summaries. - Communicating with clients via email or phone to gather missing data or clarify inconsistencies. - Maintaining accurate records of filed returns, correspondence, and client communication in the internal CRM. - Supporting senior team members in client handling, escalations, and audits as required. - Learning and assisting in the preparation of US individual tax returns (Form 1040) during the US tax season, under training and guidance. - Following internal checklists and processes to ensure error-free filings and timely submission. To qualify for this role, you should have: - MBA (Finance), M.Com, or CA Inter/Semi-qualified CA. - 0 to 2 years of experience in income tax return preparation or finance/accounts. - Working knowledge of India income tax laws applicable to individuals. - Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and document management tools. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. - Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to handle client data responsibly. Preferred traits include familiarity with the Income Tax e-filing portal, AIS/26AS import, and basic deductions/exemptions (80C, HRA, LTA, etc.), prior internship or project experience in tax, accounting, or audit, and a passion for tax and financial advisory services.
