Tax Information Reporting-Analyst-Bengaluru

In your role at Tax Operations in Goldman Sachs, you will be responsible for analyzing and supporting the firm's business activities, operations, reporting obligations, and transactions to ensure appropriate evaluation of tax consequences and reputational risks. Your work directly contributes to the firm's success and requires individuals with strong ethics, attention to detail, creativity, and collaboration. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain the integrity of the firm's compliance with reporting authorities globally - Manage inquiries from various business lines across established and emerging markets - Facilitate tax reclaims for clients on dividend/interest withholding - Issue tax documents to clients and handle tax relief documentations - Book transaction taxes - Provide subject matter expertise during the design, testing, and implementation of related systems and processes - Identify opportunities to optimize procedures through data analytics and technology use Qualifications Required: - Ability to prioritize workload, solve problems, and be accountable for deadlines and outcomes - Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills - Composure under pressure and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment - Attention to detail, flexibility, proactiveness, and self-starting attitude - Analytical thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and execute strategies Preferred Skills: - Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or business administration - Basic understanding of Taxation and financial products (Equities, Derivative, Bonds, etc.) - Proficiency in MS Excel, SQL, Alteryx is an added advantage In your role, you will develop deep subject matter expertise in tax systems, gain exposure to multiple business lines, identify control weaknesses, mitigate risks, improve client experience, provide team support, and manage risk through continuous assessment of the tax regulatory environment.
