Tax IDT Assistant Manager

You will be working at B S R & Co. LLP, a member of the B S R & Affiliates network of firms registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. The firm operates in 14 cities in India with over 120 partners and more than 5,000 professionals, providing audit, assurance, and taxation services to a diverse client base including Indian businesses, multinationals, and listed companies. The firm is committed to maintaining high standards of audit quality, enhancing the experience for employees, and embracing advanced technology. **Roles and Responsibilities:** - Assist the team during client pitches and new assignments, understanding client requirements from advisory and compliance services perspective. - Help in preparing draft proposals outlining detailed scope of work. - Assist in risk processes before initiating engagements. - Provide advisory services including researching, understanding tax implications, liaising with clients, and preparing opinions. - Prepare and review tax computations and GST returns. - Ensure timely delivery of advisory and compliance services as per client timelines and statutory due dates. - Assist during VAT/Service Tax or GST Audits or Assessments, ensuring timely closure through regular follow-ups. - Support team in litigation matters including drafting replies, liaising with tax authorities and clients, and timely submissions. - Communicate Indirect tax updates to clients and team regularly. - Guide and advise the team on Indirect tax concepts. - Participate in training sessions as a trainer and trainee. - Ensure quality deliverables within timelines, assisting seniors in practice management related to billing clients and tracking receivables. **Qualifications:** - Qualified CA **Skills:** - Strong analytical ability - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Client relationship management - Team player - Experience in Indirect tax litigation would be an added advantage **Experience:** - 3 - 5 years of experience in Indirect tax compliance and advisory services B S R & Co.
