THE JOB This is a full-time, fully remote role for an AWS Cloud Engineer at Tarlton.io. You’ll work from the comfort of your home while collaborating with a global team of engineers, developers, and strategists who are building the cloud backbone for platforms that serve millions of users. As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure that powers our nationwide, high-traffic platforms. You will play a critical role in ensuring scalability, reliability, and security across all projects. Your day-to-day will include: Architecting and maintaining AWS environments (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, Route 53, etc.). Automating deployments, scaling, and infrastructure monitoring. Managing backups, disaster recovery, and multi-cloud redundancy. Implementing and enforcing security best practices across AWS services. Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing infrastructure for cost and performance. Collaborating with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and app integrations. WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE Proven experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer or DevOps Engineer. Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC, Route 53). Proficiency in automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible). Skilled in Linux administration, networking, and security. Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar). Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and optimization skills. AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps, or DevOps Engineer) are a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent real-world experience). You’ll work from the comfort of your home while collaborating with a global team of engineers, designers, and strategists who are shaping platforms that serve millions of users. As a WordPress Developer, you’ll be responsible for building and scaling enterprise-level websites that power nationwide platforms. You will play a key role in architecting custom post types, developing dynamic content structures, and optimizing for performance and SEO. Your day-to-day will include: Developing and customizing WordPress themes, plugins, and templates. Building with Gutenberg, Kadence, and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF). Managing large-scale content uploads, data migrations, and integrations. Optimizing websites for speed, security, and SEO best practices. Collaborating with designers to implement responsive, user-focused layouts. Troubleshooting, debugging, and continuously improving site performance. Solid foundation in SEO and website performance optimization. Experience with version control systems (Git preferred). Familiarity with WP Engine hosting, AWS, and Cloudflare is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent real-world experience).
