Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Tandoor Commi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Indian cuisine, particularly in the preparation of tandoor dishes. The Tandoor Commi Chef will assist the Head Chef in all aspects of tandoor cooking, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Chef in the preparation and cooking of tandoor dishes, including breads, kebabs, etc.
• Ensure all tandoor items are cooked to perfection, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
• Prepare and marinate food and vegetables according to established recipes and standards.
• Manage the tandoor oven, including lighting, maintaining the right temperature, and ensuring it is clean and functional.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Assist in the preparation of other Indian dishes as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work station.
• Support the kitchen team in various tasks as needed, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Commi Chef or similar role in an Indian/Multi-cuisine restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and tandoor cooking techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
