Job Description

Systems/Software Engineer

This role has been designed as Onsite with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE office.

In the HPE Hybrid Cloud, we lead the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for all of HPE. This includes managing the design, development, and product portfolio of our next-generation cloud platform, Green Lake. Working with customers, we help them reimagine their information technology needs to deliver a simple, consumable solution that helps them drive their business results. We are EIG (Enterprise Infrastructure Group) part of HPE Storage under HCOCTO business unit. At EIG we manage and provision infrastructure and develop automation software, frameworks, tools and libraries for the development, testing and release of all of HPE Storage products.

What you ll do:

Responsibilities:

Design and code enhancements and modules or HPE storage products QA automation frameworks, libraries, applications and utilities
Analyse design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines.
Design, automate and execute tests(unit tests and integration tests) for the above mentioned automated solutions; identify and debug issues with code and suggest changes or improvements.
Collaborate and communicate with internal and outsourced development partners

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
Ideal candidates will have at least 2-5 years of relevant experience in developing and supporting automation test frameworks and test libraries

Knowledge and Skills:

Proficiency in programming languages
Experience in the following areas/technologies:
- SQL/NoSQL DBs
- Development of Web applications using REST APIs, JSON and microservices
- Docker, Microservices, Containerization, Kubernetes
- CI/CD, Git/Gitlab, GitHub, Jenkins
- LINUX/VM environments and Shell scripting
- Scale/performance testing tools
- Familiarity with Git, Jira, Confluence, and defect tracking workflows.
- Experience with monitoring and log analysis tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack) is a plus.
- Knowledge of OOD is a plus
