POSITION SUMMARYIn a sentence or two, broadly describe the main purpose or function of the job. Indicate what is done and why (outcome).The Application Engineer shall report to the Manager CMS. As an Application Engineer, the candidate would be responsible for Design, estimation, engineering, development, configuration, testing & commissioning of Control & Monitoring System application for Airfield ground lighting system. In addition, working with customers to define Technical Requirements Specifications, modifying config tables and writing scripts to provide operational enhancements requested by the customer.The Responsibilities Will Include But Not Limited To
Understand detailed and advanced application and configuration of AGL Control Monitoring System.Carryout simulation and test for real jobs on test environment for AGL Control and Monitoring SystemSupport installation application software on customer location remotely, as & when required.Support troubleshooting of application software remotely on customer locations, as & when requiredProvide First level technical assistance against any software bugs encountered while installation, testing and commissioning at site.Write scripts to atomize for desired output on text files. Hands-on experience Configuration , implementation and administration on Servers, Application and Network devices,IT infrastructure design and architecture across multiple distributed computing technologies - including server Hardware, networkHands on experience on Microsoft VisioStrong Knowledge & Experience in Sun Solaris Platform. Good Understanding of trouble shooting & Solaris Commands. Strong experience in interfacing of external devices.Network
A thorough understanding of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networkingHands on experience in designing Topology, implementing and administrating common TCP/IP-based services, including HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, etc.Working knowledge on Cisco Switches and Cisco routersWorking knowledge of common network monitoring and security utilitiesUnderstanding of routing, switching ,multipath in networkIdentifies, diagnoses, and resolves network problemsSoftware & Scripting
Writing of simple perl scripts & understanding of complex scripts written in perl.Deep understanding knowledge on complex shell scripts writtenCertifications in Redhat/Solaris would be a definite plusQualifications
B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronic EngineeringAn ideal candidate should have 2 to 3 years of work experience on writing of scripts (preferably perl), installation, testing and commissioning for AGL & CMS.Understand detailed and advanced application and configuration of CMS/ASMGCS solution. Experience working with Airfield Lighting CMS systems desired.Networking (configuration of L2/L3 switches)Thorough knowledge in the areas of application engineering, integration and hands on experience in handling Systems, networks and Software configuration.Hands-on experience in implementation and administration on Servers, Application and Network devicesWorking knowledge on CentOS/LINUX system & understanding of complex scripts written in shell.About Us
