Systems Development Engineer

Role Overview: As a Systems Development Engineer in the Custom Design Group at Dell Technologies in Bangalore, India, you will be working on projects that involve creating unique customer solutions based on the standard Dell product portfolio. Your role will require close collaboration with the engineering lead to develop and execute a plan that meets the customers" specific requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver assigned system interfaces with design and process across extended teams - Prepare documentation for inspection and testing procedures - Design, develop, and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment - Prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and complete specifications and procedures for new products Qualifications Required: Essential Requirements: - 2 to 5 years of experience in validating server components such as PCIe cards, CPUs, memory modules, and storage devices using structured test methodologies - Ability to configure and validate diverse server setups including multi-socket CPU systems, RAID/storage topologies, GPU and accelerator integration, and network configurations - Experience in full system validation, including cluster setups, failover testing, thermal/power profiling, and compliance with standards like PCIe Gen5, UEFI, and IPMI - Ability to maintain detailed test plans, logs, and failure analysis reports - Experience in validating BIOS/firmware compatibility and system stability Desirable Requirements: - Bachelor's Engineering Degree with 2 to 5 years of related experience - Experience in developing automated test frameworks and driving process improvements to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and product reliability Additional Company Details: Dell Technologies is a unique family of businesses dedicated to helping individuals and organizations transform how they work, live, and play.
