As a Software Analysis Associate Advisor Sr. BI Analyst and Visualization Expert at Evernorth Health Services, a division of The Cigna Group, you will play a crucial role in creating pharmacy, care, and benefits solutions to improve health and increase vitality for millions of people. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain BI reports using Cognos and other BI tools. You will ensure that BI solutions are optimized for performance and scalability, and develop Materialized Views to support complex data aggregation and reporting requirements. Your role will involve conducting in-depth data analysis to generate business insights and support strategic decision-making. You will identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data and provide actionable recommendations. Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, you will gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions. Additionally, you will provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and reporting capabilities. Ensuring data accuracy and integrity in all BI outputs will be a key focus area for you. You will participate in data quality and governance initiatives to maintain reliable data sources. Staying updated with the latest BI technologies and trends, you will continuously improve BI processes and methodologies. Working with distributed requirements and technical stakeholders, you will complete shared design and development tasks. To excel in this role, you must have extensive experience with BI tools, particularly Cognos, and proficiency in SQL and other data querying languages. Strong data visualization skills and experience with tools like Cognos, Tableau, or Power BI are preferred. You should also have experience creating and managing Materialized Views in data warehouse and data lake environments, a solid understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, and JSON Data Structures, as well as familiarity with AWS, Redshift, and CI/CD practices. With a minimum of 8 years of experience and a college degree in related technical/business areas, you will be recognized internally as the go-to person for the most complex software engineering assignments. Your proven experience with architecture, design, and development of large-scale enterprise application solutions, along with industry certifications in BI or data analysis, will be valuable assets in this role.
