Systems Administration

As a Linux / System Administrator at our company, your role involves handling various IT infrastructure activities to ensure the smooth operation of servers and systems. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing Linux systems by handling user management, permissions, and file system management. - Monitoring system performance and resolving issues related to hardware, operating systems, or applications. - Assisting in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers and workstations. - Performing routine updates, patches, and system backups. - Providing support for both Linux and Windows user systems, including basic troubleshooting. - Configuring and maintaining network services such as FTP, SFTP, and SMB. - Following best practices to maintain system security and access controls. - Documenting configurations, processes, and issue resolutions clearly. To excel in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications: - Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems such as Ubuntu, CentOS, and Red Hat. - Familiarity with system administration tasks like user creation, permissions, and process management. - Understanding of networking basics including IP, DNS, and DHCP. - Hands-on experience with basic IT hardware and software troubleshooting. - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. - Ability to work well in a team and independently when required.
