System Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain

  Windows and Linux servers

  with a focus on security compliance and hardening.
• Review and remediate

  security observations

  identified by vulnerability assessments, audits, and penetration tests.
• Coordinate with the

  Security Team

  to validate, track, and close findings within agreed timelines.
• Ensure implementation of

  patch management

  , system hardening, and configuration compliance.
• Prepare and provide

  evidence/artifacts

  for internal and external

  security audits

  .
• Maintain detailed documentation of remediation activities, risk exceptions, and closure reports.
• Monitor system logs, alerts, and apply corrective measures for identified threats or non-compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Security, Network, Application, Compliance) for end-to-end issue resolution.
• Participate in

  change management processes

  ensuring security-related changes are tested and documented.
• Stay updated with the latest

  security advisories, CVEs, and compliance requirements

  (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC, etc.).

Required Skills & Qualifications:.

• 35 years of experience as a

  System Administrator/Engineer

  (Windows/Linux).
• Strong knowledge of

  server hardening

  , patching, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with

  security tools

  (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, etc.).
• Familiarity with

  SIEM, endpoint protection, and audit processes

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  Active Directory, Group Policy, File Permissions, SSH, IPTables/Firewalld, SELinux, etc.

• Good understanding of

  networking concepts

  (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewall rules).
