Additional Job Requirements:

• DBA for Retail Tech. Python & SQL. Certifications in snowflake good to have.
• Assist with the administration of the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning of access, configuration of resources, performance and cost monitoring, policy governance and overall security.
• Analyse existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements
• Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions
• Manage & administer Snowflake Database Setup and Configuration
• Snowflake Data Security and Compliance: Implementing and managing security measures within Snowflake, including access controls, and network policies to protect sensitive information.
• Manage and administer Kafka Clusters
• Automation with CI/CD Pipeline using Gitlab
• Keep up to date with new releases and features for snowflake architecture, determine if beneficial for teams operations and report back with POC
• Create SOP's that require little to no upkeep on system processes and procedures to ensure transparency across team.
• Manage the Data sharing aspect of the teams Snowflake environment and work with other teams to provide and request shares
• Build relationships with DBA's from other streams of the business to assist with connections should support be needed
• Ideally a self lead candidate that is willing to take ideas to the table and the initiative know what is beneficial to help automate team processes
• High focus on designing solutions that do not require manual upkeep, ideally have the mindset to automate administrative tasks
• Design monitoring solutions to help understand and improve warehouse performance, query inefficiencies, remote spillage, user misuse etc.
• Manage tagging solutions on database objects to assist in understanding costing within the account(s)
