Description
Key Responsibilities: 1. System Maintenance and Monitoring: Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and applications. Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Conduct regular system health checks and updates. 2. Network Administration: Configure and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and VPN connections. Manage firewalls, routers, and switches to ensure secure and stable network connectivity. Monitor network traffic and address connectivity issues promptly. 3. User Support: Provide technical support to users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues. Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with company policies. Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up user accounts and devices. 4. Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup strategies to ensure data integrity and availability. Perform regular backups and restore operations when necessary. 5. Security Management: Implement and maintain IT security policies and protocols to safeguard company data.o Monitor for security breaches and vulnerabilities, applying updates and patches as needed. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with security standards. 6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures. Prepare reports on system performance, incidents, and improvements. 7. Continuous Improvement: Research and recommend upgrades, tools, and technologies to enhance system performance and reliability. Collaborate with other teams to support IT projects and business objectives. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role. Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, macOS) and server management. Familiarity with virtualization tools (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure). Hands-on experience with firewalls, routers, and networking protocols. Understanding of IT security principles and best practices. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Server+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Familiarity with database management and storage solutions.
