•Install and configure database servers and database management systems (DBMS) such as SQL Server, and MySQL.
•Responsible for database security, ensuring that appropriate access controls and permissions are in place.•Monitor database performance to identify and resolve obstruction, optimize query execution, and ensure efficient resource utilization.•Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity and minimize downtime.•Perform routine maintenance tasks such as database backups, software patches, and system upgrades.•Responsible for data migration between different database systems and integration with other applications or systems. ensuring smooth transfer of data between systems or databases.•Troubleshoot and resolve database issues such as database connectivity, data corruption, and performance issues.•Maintain documentation related to database configuration, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.•Stay up to date with the latest advancement in database technologies and best practices.•Accountable to be accessible for on-call assistance as needed.•Responsible for managing and overseeing cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.•Responsible for setting-up high HA and DR configurations.
