Role Overview: As a Systems Administrator at Quorum Software, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the secure and highly available environment for customers in the oil & gas industry. You will contribute to optimizing business operations by providing exceptional and reliable access to products and services. Working as part of a dynamic team, you will bridge the gap between the external world and data center infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include monitoring core infrastructure, resolving system issues, and serving as the primary point of contact for IT systems queries. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor core infrastructure to maintain optimal performance - Ensure high availability with a 99.9% uptime - Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to streamline incident response - Exercise independent judgment in troubleshooting and resolving system issues within VMware environments and underlying hardware infrastructure - Maintain, review, and improve system documentation - Provide escalated support for virtualized system infrastructure Qualifications Required: - Possess certifications such as VMware VCAP and Cisco Data Center Certificates - Proven expertise in managing large VMware environments - Hands-on experience with technologies like Cisco UCS, Dell Servers, and various storage providers - Proficiency in VMware ESX and technical skills in the Microsoft Server ecosystem - Experience in managing alerts using tools like SolarWinds, vSphere, PRTG, or vRealize Operations Additional details of the company: Quorum Software offers the flexibility of remote work, provided you have the necessary resources to be productive from home.
