Description
Were looking for a skilled Mid-Level System Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing both Windows and Linux systems, working with cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), and supporting production environments. You’ll play a key role in maintaining, monitoring, and improving our system performance, uptime, and security posture. Key Responsibilities: Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Group Policy. Deploy and manage IIS web servers for hosting web applications. Support and manage Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS) systems in cloud and on-prem environments. Provision, monitor, and manage resources in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) . Implement infrastructure-as-code solutions for repeatable and scalable environments. Monitor system performance, logs, and availability; resolve incidents and proactively address issues. Perform routine maintenance, patching, and security hardening on all systems. Assist with backup and disaster recovery planning and testing. Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams to align infrastructure with business needs. Document processes, architectures, and procedures to ensure operational continuity. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in a systems administration or IT infrastructure role. Strong expertise with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Active Directory . Proficient in configuring and managing IIS (Internet Information Services) . Solid experience administering Linux systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, or RHEL). Working knowledge of cloud platforms – Azure and AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, Azure VMs, Azure Networking). Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation and operational tasks. Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN). Familiarity with security best practices, firewall rules, and system hardening. Preferred Skills: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Jenkins. Exposure to container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor). Certification(s) in Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Linux (preferred but not required).
