SW Test Engineer

o Analyzing requirements and specifications to develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
o Defining testing goals, metrics, and objectives to ensure thorough test coverage. o Collaborating with developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand features, implementation details, and business use cases. Test Execution: o Performing manual and automated tests across different platforms (web, API, mobile). o Executing various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, system, smoke, and sanity tests. o Identifying, logging, tracking, and verifying fixes for bugs and defects using defect tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla. Automation: o Developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or others. o Integrating automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to enable continuous testing. Reporting & Communication: o Generating detailed test reports and metrics for internal teams and management. o Clearly communicating test results, identified issues, and recommendations to stakeholders and teams. o Participating in agile ceremonies like sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and reviews. Other Potential Responsibilities: o User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution. o Database testing using SQL queries. o API testing using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or Swagger. o Cross-browser and responsive testing. o Performance testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner. o Security or accessibility testing.
