About Profile: A solar sales role focused on open access projects involves promoting and selling solar energy solutions to businesses and organizations that can benefit from purchasing electricity generated from off-site solar farms through open access mechanisms. This includes identifying potential clients, understanding their energy needs, and guiding them through the process of procuring solar power from open access sources. Job Responsibilities: · Lead Generation and Prospecting: Identifying and prospecting potential clients (businesses, industries, etc.) who can benefit from open access solar, through various channels like networking, cold calling, and industry events. · Client Education: Explaining the benefits of open access solar, including cost savings, sustainability goals, and regulatory compliance, to potential clients. · Customer Needs Assessment: Conducting site assessments and analysing energy consumption patterns to determine the optimal solar capacity and open access configuration for the client. · Product Knowledge and Presentation: Providing detailed information about solar products, services, installation processes, and their benefits. · Proposal Development: Creating tailored solar proposals, including technical specifications, financial models, and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), outlining the benefits and terms of the open access arrangement. · Negotiation and Closing: Negotiating contracts and pricing with clients, addressing their concerns, and finalizing the open access solar agreements. · Project Management/ Collaboration: Coordinating with internal teams (engineering, legal, finance) and external stakeholders (regulators) to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with regulations. · Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients throughout the sales process and beyond, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering repeat business. · Sales Target Achievement: Meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly sales targets. · Industry Knowledge: Staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and competitive products to effectively communicate with customers. · CRM Management: Maintaining accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and project progress using the company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Job Responsibilities: · Drive execution of the projects, keeping them on schedule and on budget, while maintaining relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors. · Optimise the project plans to achieve the budget and Contractual obligations to Customer without affecting the approved execution plan. · Maintain top quality customer service with clients and all stakeholders. · Manage project budgets, schedules and other information utilizing Office 365 systems etc. · Evaluate installer’s progress reports with an eye toward managing project risks. · Present project progress, key findings, and recommendations. · Manage daily/weekly calls with contractors to discuss project progress. · Engage and coordinate internal resources, engineers, consultants, and solar installers in preparation and execution of project plans through completion. · Review and take ownership of project budgets including cost of permits and fees, third-party consultants, and construction costs for off-site, site work. · Review and take ownership of project schedules for construction and delivery. · Coordinate and manage solar installers, conduct project meetings, and provide weekly progress reports to client. · Assist in the preparation and negotiate construction bid amounts and contract terms. · Work closely with Business Development team members providing recommendations on how to enhance and improve building and/or site configuration. · Provide site evaluation and due diligence including hiring consultants and evaluating/overseeing when required. · Execution risk mitigation - planning & implementation. · Customer Relation Management for smooth execution of Project Work Hours and Benefits: Work a full-time schedule during regular business hours.
