- Ensure coding compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and coding queries
- Stay updated with coding regulations and best practices
- Participate in coding audits and quality assurance processes
- Adhering to coding guidelines and regulations (AAPC/AHIMA)
- Maintaining patient confidentiality (HIPAA)
- Meeting productivity and quality standards
- Collaborating with clinical staff for coding clarity
- Staying updated on coding changes and regulations
- 2-5 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in same-day surgery
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and surgical procedures
- Proficiency in coding software and EHR systems
