Surgery Coder

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Surgery Coder to join our team in Ekkaduthangal. The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years of experience in medical coding, with a focus on surgical procedures. The Surgery Coder will be responsible for reviewing clinical documents and coding surgeries accurately, ensuring compliance with all applicable coding guidelines and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze surgical documentation to assign appropriate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.
• Ensure accurate coding to maximize reimbursement and minimize claim denials.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to clarify documentation and coding queries.
• Participate in regular coding audits and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
• Ensure timely submission of coded data to the billing department.
• Stay informed about changes in surgery coding practices and guidelines.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

• Experience:

  5-6 years of medical coding experience, with a strong emphasis on surgery coding.

• Certification:

  Certified Professional Coder .

• Knowledge:

  In-depth understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems. Familiarity with medical terminology and surgical procedures.
