As a skilled Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Machine Operator, you will be an integral part of our manufacturing team, contributing to the efficient operation and maintenance of our SMT equipment. Your primary responsibility will involve ensuring the accurate placement of surface mount components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) while upholding high-quality standards in electronic assembly. Your key responsibilities will include setting up and calibrating SMT machines based on production requirements, operating the machines to place components accurately, and monitoring performance to optimize efficiency. You will be expected to conduct visual inspections to identify defects, collaborate with the quality control team to address issues, and maintain machine functionality through routine maintenance and troubleshooting. Documenting production logs, maintenance records, and deviations from standard procedures will be essential. Collaboration with the production team, engineers, and supervisors to enhance production processes and provide feedback on machine performance for efficiency improvements are crucial aspects of the role. Additionally, staying informed about advancements in SMT technology, attending training sessions, and mentoring new team members on machine operations will be part of your responsibilities.
