Supply Chain Management Intern

CityFurnish is a leading company providing high-quality furniture rental services and is currently seeking an experienced Intern - SCM/Operations to efficiently manage warehouse and distribution functions. As an Intern - SCM/Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations to ensure productivity targets are met while maintaining smooth and timely execution of warehouse processes. Key Responsibilities: Warehouse Management: - Strategically manage the warehouse in alignment with company policies, goals, and vision. Operations Oversight: - Oversee all aspects related to receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations. Inventory Management: - Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing goods to facilitate seamless inventory tracking. Policy Implementation: - Initiate, coordinate, and enforce operational policies and procedures to optimize workflow and productivity. Health & Safety Standards: - Uphold high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security within the warehouse. Inventory Control: - Monitor inventory levels through physical counts and reconcile with the data storage system. Vendor Management: - Supervise vendor deployment and ensure alignment of vendor processes with operational objectives. Data Management: - Prepare and manage various Excel-based data reports for analysis and decision-making purposes. SOP Documentation: - Draft and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse and logistics operations. What We Are Looking For: Experience: - Interest in operations, warehouse, and logistics management. Skills: - Excellent communication skills (both written and oral). - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to collaborate effectively with blue-collar staff. - Independent work capability with minimal supervision. - Comfort in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Technical Proficiency: - Proficient in MS-Office, especially Excel.
