Supply Chain Assistant Manager

You will be responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory, production planning, warehousing, transportation, and distribution. Your role will involve developing and maintaining efficient cold chain systems to ensure the safe handling and transportation of temperature-sensitive products such as dairy, frozen foods, and meats. Monitoring supplier performance, negotiating contracts with vendors and transporters, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials and packaging will be key aspects of your job. Additionally, you will oversee logistics partners, cold storage facilities, and transport networks while collaborating closely with production, quality control, sales, and warehouse teams. Analyzing supply chain data and implementing cost-saving and efficiency-improving initiatives will also be part of your responsibilities. Managing inventory levels, preventing stockouts or overstocking, maintaining ERP data, and ensuring compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, and food safety standards are essential tasks. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field (an MBA is preferred) and have a minimum of 4 years of experience in the FMCG or Food & Beverage industry. Cold Chain logistics experience is mandatory, and you should possess a strong knowledge of inventory planning, demand forecasting, vendor management, and hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are crucial, along with a solid understanding of regulatory and quality standards in food logistics.
