Job Description

In this role at TE, you will collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds and industries to contribute towards building a safer, sustainable, and more connected world. **Role Overview:** As a member of TE Connectivity's Quality Assurance Team, you will play a crucial role in managing the Quality Management System of the organization. Your responsibilities will include evaluating products, services, facilities, and business processes to ensure adherence to quality standards. You will develop and implement quality plans, programs, and procedures utilizing quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools. Additionally, you will be involved in reviewing quality discrepancies, conducting quality audits, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Serve as the primary point of contact for organization and suppliers regarding supplier quality topics and issues. - Lead APQP activities related to suppliers to ensure proactive planning for incoming quality before PPAP and production release. - Enhance supplier performance through coaching, training, enforcement of consequences, supplier awards, and motivation. - Evaluate and approve new competitive suppliers in collaboration with commodity teams. - Review and approve/reject/amend supplier PPAP submissions for new product releases and changes to existing components. - Monitor quality data accuracy within operating systems and develop reporting systems to track supplier trends. - Ensure supplier compliance with quality specifications and collaborate with engineering to modify specs for incoming goods when needed. - Communicate TE's requirements and expectations clearly to suppliers and enforce them. - Coordinate corrective/preventive actions by suppliers and facilitate supplier quality roadmaps for improved performance. - Conduct audits of suppliers" processes and systems and maintain knowledge of AS9100. - Support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with key suppliers and coordinate TE Supplier Days. - Perform source inspections and product assessments at supplier facilities. - Engage in Lean Supplier Development activities such as training and technical reviews. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred), Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience. - Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. - AS9100 Lean Auditor certification. - Minimum 5 years in a supplier development role. - Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt certification. - Minimum 5 years of experience in conducting quality audits. - Proficiency in practical application of 8D, 5-why, and Ishikawa methodologies. - Strong interpersonal skills. - Willingness to travel 50% - 75% of the time.
