Supplier Development Expert

As a GSS Direct Procurement Specialist at Alstom, your primary focus will be on being the key Supplier Quality Development referent for the given scope. You will influence both Commodity strategy and suppliers to enhance the quality performance level of purchased parts and services through the qualification and development of suppliers. Your responsibilities will include driving systematic and continuous Suppliers Quality Performance analysis, supporting the procurement organization in all related processes, and conducting regular reviews at Commodity level to ensure the deployment of Supplier Development strategy. Key Responsibilities: - Deploy the Supplier Quality Development (SQD) strategy within the Commodity - Be the Supplier Quality referent for the Global/Regional Commodity Manager to influence the Procurement strategy and improve the quality performance - Advice the Procurement Commodity in the definition and execution of the procurement commodity strategy - Deliver Off-cycle evaluation of Suppliers industrial Processes and define the SD Priority List on Quality for its scope - Measure, Improve, and sustain Quality performance of suppliers by communicating their Quality Performance and driving the Supplier Quality Escalation Process - Leverage Supplier Quality network knowledge and contribute to the development of the Supplier Quality Network - Contribute to the definition and deployment of SD and SQD tools, methods, and Processes by promoting Supplier Development and Supplier Quality initiatives Qualification Required: - Graduated from Technical and/or Quality Engineering degree, Masters degree level or equivalent - 5-10 years of experience in Industry with position such as Quality, Production, Engineering or equivalent - Quality tools experienced, Manufacturing Processes knowledge, NDT & Welding Skills - Leadership with strong communication and influencing skills, Fluent in English, Ability to work in a matrix organization, Continuous improvement of mindset and customer-oriented Additional Details: You will be required to travel frequently for the position (minimum 60% of the time) domestically and internationally.
