Knowledge of rice varieties, quality standards, and market trends is essential. Key Responsibilities: Procurement: Source and procure different varieties of rice and paddy (e.g., Basmati, Non-Basmati, Parboiled, Raw). Evaluate and select reliable suppliers/farmers/millers based on price, quality, service, and reliability. Negotiate contracts and terms of purchase to ensure cost-effective deals. Quality Control: Coordinate with the quality control team to ensure the procured rice meets quality specifications. Conduct regular visits to Supplier facilities or mills for quality checks and relationship management. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and supply-demand conditions.
