Job Summary : We are seeking a highly motivated Ignition Automation Engineer with strong experience in SCADA systems, PLC integration, and modern software development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA , PLC programming , and strong proficiency in Python or .NET . Flexibility and willingness to upskill in Ignition SCADA is essential. Key Responsibilities : Design, develop, and maintain SCADA applications using Ignition (Vision, Perspective, Reports, Alarming, SQL Bridge). Integrate with PLC systems (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley preferred) for real-time control and monitoring. Develop and troubleshoot Python scripts and logic inside Ignition. Perform Ignition system upgrades , patching, and performance tuning. Work with databases (SQL) to develop custom reporting and historical data retrieval. Interface with web services (REST/SOAP) for enterprise system integration. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, automation, and IT stakeholders. Required Skills : Proven experience with Ignition SCADA development and deployment. Strong knowledge of Python scripting in industrial environments. Familiarity with PLC programming (Rockwell preferred, others acceptable). Good understanding of .NET development (C#, WPF/WinForms). Experience working with SQL databases , queries, stored procedures. Exposure to SCADA-to-enterprise integration via web services or APIs.
