The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for selecting equipment & auxiliaries required for compressor packages, including their detailed engineering and execution of Sundyne projects. The position will be required to support multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Working knowledge of rotating equipment like compressors, pumps, etc. and auxiliary support systems like dry gas seal systems, lube oil systems, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, valves, filters, etc. Knowledge and interpretation of applicable industry standards (API-617, 692, 614, ASME Pressure Vessel Code, ASME Standards, NACE, etc.) Review of customer order scope, technical specifications and datasheets Selection & sizing of Compressor auxiliaries, prepare Material Requisitions, technical evaluation of supplier proposals and ensuring compliance with project requirements Detailed engineering of compressor package and support systems in accordance with the latest API Standards (main & auxiliary drivers, heat exchangers, seal gas heaters, lube oil pumps, instruments, gages, surge control valves and systems, etc.) Create and/or review and approve engineering drawings and documentation Provide engineering & troubleshooting support for assembly and testing activities Assist Application Engineering and Sales in winning new business. Technical/Functional skills: Self-motivated and highly organized Excellent team player Good verbal & written communication skills. Key Responsibilities: Duties and responsibilities of the fitter include, but are not limited to: Read & interpret technical drawing, schematics, blueprints, procedures and measurements to plan weld layouts, assemble and install mechanical systems and equipments. Set up & fitting components for welding like pipe fittings, machine fitting, and structure fittings. Operate hand tools, power tools, cutting machine, beveling machine, grinders, threading machine to shape and fit the material. Weld and fabricate components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in required positions. Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws. Maintain equipment with accessories in good condition without compromising on safety. Perform maintenance and repair work on mechanical systems and equipment. Key Responsibilities: Preparation of technical documentation such as P&ID, Datasheets, C&E, Logic diagrams, etc., creation of part numbers in ERP system and generation of Bill of Materials. Understand customer order scope, technical specifications and datasheets.
