Substation Automation - Protection & Control Engineer

Role Overview: You will be an Automation Testing and Commissioning Engineer for INOPC PG, part of Operation Center in India, contributing to the development of a global value chain to optimize value for Hitachi Energy customers. Your role involves providing high quality engineering and commissioning support to Business Units and Center of Excellence globally. Key Responsibilities: - Preparation of Single Line Diagram/Protection Single Line Diagram - Preparation of Trip Matrix and IO Signal list - Preparation of IEDs configuration files - Preparation of Panel and IEDs test procedure and test reports - Preparation of Test template files for each type of IEDs - Responsible for commissioning and troubleshooting of Bay level secondary equipments - Preparation of Protection and Control Panel schematics for Medium/High Voltage Substation - Preparation of Interlocking table and schematics for various Busbar configurations - Addressing technical queries raised by customers during project execution - Interaction with cross-functional teams like Primary, Project Management, and Production - Self-reviewing documents before submission to Lead Engineer - Generating Preliminary BOM - Understanding and preparation of Communication Architecture diagrams - Preparation of protection schematics (Trafo, Line, Busbar) when integrating protection in LCC - Selection of Bay Control Unit and other protection IEDs - Preparation of complete Digital Control & Protection drawings as part of Digital Substation - Adhering to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications - Ensuring compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in B.E / Diploma in Electrical Engineering - 5-8 years of experience - Excellent knowledge in IEDs configuration and testing - Very Good knowledge of Protection & Control Systems for T & D / Gen - Willingness to travel for site testing and commissioning activities - Familiarity with codes and applicable standards like IEC, IEEE, ANSI, etc. - Knowledge of AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical tools is an added advantage - Ability to work in a team and maintain professionalism - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Proficiency in both spoken & written English language Note: Qualified individuals with disabilities may request reasonable accommodations for accessibility assistance during the job application process.,
