Position: Subject Matter Expert – Payroll / Payroll Associate

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree (BE / B.Tech or equivalent)

Experience Required: 4 – 9 Years

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide functional support and subject matter expertise for ERP Payroll module.
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with applicable laws, regulations & company policies.
• Drive ERP product enhancement initiatives related to payroll functionality.
• Administer and maintain payroll systems ensuring data integrity.
• Support system upgrades, patches & payroll module enhancements.
• Monitor, investigate & resolve payroll discrepancies promptly and accurately.
• Generate payroll reports including:
  • Tax filings
  • Benefits deductions
  • Statutory & compliance reports
• Provide exceptional customer service and user support.
• Ensure confidentiality and data security of payroll information.
• Stay updated with Indian payroll regulations, tax laws & industry best practices.

Requirements

• Relevant professional certification in payroll management (e.g. Certified Payroll Professional – CPP) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll processing and Indian tax regulations.
• Hands-on understanding of:
  • TDS, GST & Income Tax provisions
  • EPF Act, ESI Act & Professional Tax Act
  • Challan generation & challan entries
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and time & attendance management.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles related to payroll.
• Ability to adapt quickly to regulatory changes and implement updates.
