Area(s) of responsibility

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop, and maintain Cognos reports, dashboards, and data models using Framework Manager and Transformer.
• Lead or support migration and upgrade initiatives for Cognos environments (e.g., from Cognos 10 to 11).
• Analyze and optimize existing Cognos reports for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, leveraging DAX for complex calculations.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across BI platforms.
• Document technical designs, validation results, and user guide

Mandatory Skills

• 7–9 years of experience in Cognos development (Cognos 10/11).

• Strong proficiency in Framework Manager, Transformer, and Report Studio.
• Proven experience in Cognos platform migration and upgrade projects.
• Advanced SQL skills for querying and data manipulation.
• Solid experience in Power BI, including DAX functions and performance tuning.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and BI best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
