Student Psychological Counselor - Part Time

As a Student Counselor, your role will involve providing support and guidance to students facing emotional, academic, or personal challenges. You will conduct individual counseling sessions as well as group workshops on various student-related topics. Your main responsibilities will include: - Providing one-on-one counseling sessions to address student's emotional, academic, or personal issues. - Conducting group sessions on stress management, exam anxiety, self-esteem, and other relevant topics. - Offering immediate support and guidance in crisis or emergency situations. - Conducting psychological assessments and making referrals to external mental health professionals when necessary. - Maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines in counseling. - Collaborating with faculty, administration, and student support teams to create a supportive campus environment. - Organizing awareness programs and campaigns to promote mental health and well-being. - Documenting counseling sessions, progress, and reports for evaluation purposes. To excel in this role, you should have a Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience in student counseling or adolescent psychology is preferred. Key qualifications and skills include: - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude. - Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. - Knowledge of adolescent and young adult mental health issues. - Certification from a recognized counseling body is preferred but not mandatory.,
