Student Counsellor

Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Support & Counselling

• Provide age-appropriate individual and group counselling to PYP students.
• Support students with emotional regulation, social skills, behavioural challenges, and transitions.
• Identify students at risk and provide early intervention and ongoing support.
• Maintain confidential and accurate counselling records.

Well-being & Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)

• Design and implement Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) programmes aligned with PYP philosophy.
• Promote resilience, empathy, self-awareness, and positive relationships.
• Support the integration of well-being practices into classroom teaching.

Collaboration & Consultation

• Work closely with teachers to support student needs and classroom strategies.
• Collaborate with parents through meetings, guidance sessions, and regular communication.
• Refer students to external specialists when required, following school protocols.

Safeguarding & Child Protection

• Support and adhere to school safeguarding and child protection policies.
• Identify, document, and report concerns related to student safety and well-being.
• Participate in safeguarding training and response procedures.

Assessment & Documentation

• Conduct observations, screenings, and assessments as appropriate.
• Maintain structured reports, intervention plans, and follow-up records.

Professional Responsibilities

• Participate in school meetings, case discussions, and professional development.
• Contribute to a positive school culture aligned with IB values and international-mindedness.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
• Ability to work sensitively with young children and families.
• Knowledge of child development, SEL, and behavioural support strategies.
• Strong ethical practice and commitment to confidentiality.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
