Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Student Counsellor with expertise in child and adolescent psychology to support the emotional, social, and academic well-being of students. The counsellor will provide individual and group counselling, guide students in coping with stress, and collaborate with teachers and parents to foster a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counselling sessions to students on academic, emotional, social, and behavioral concerns.
  • Design and implement wellness programs, workshops, and awareness sessions on topics such as stress management, exam preparation, bullying, peer relationships, and mental health.
  • Identify students requiring special interventions and develop support plans in collaboration with teachers and parents.
  • Maintain confidential counselling records and ensure ethical practices as per RCI guidelines.
  • Support students during transition phases (primary to middle, middle to senior, board exam preparation, career guidance collaboration).
  • Work closely with the school leadership, teachers, and parents to create a positive and inclusive school environment.
  • Refer students to external professionals/agencies if specialized support is required.
  • Conduct periodic assessments to track student progress and report outcomes to the school management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Educational Qualification:
  • Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (mandatory).
  • RCI Certification (mandatory).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 4–5 years of counselling experience, preferably in a school or child-adolescent care setting.
  • Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, and empathetic communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
  • Knowledge of child development, behavioral interventions, and mental health strategies.
  • Effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and external professionals.

Work Environment & Expectations:

  • Available for students during school hours and as per requirement.
  • Attend parent-teacher meetings, staff training, and school events when needed.
  • Promote student well-being, resilience, and holistic development as part of the school’s core values.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
