Structural Steel Construction QAQC Engineer

As a Project Site QAQC Engineer, your responsibilities will include conducting incoming inspection of structural steel fabricated members, welding consumables, connection bolts, and paint at the project site. You will also be responsible for reviewing supplier Material Test Certificates (MTC) and ensuring compliance with national and international standards. Additionally, you will inspect foundation bolt installation, steel structures fit-up, alignment after erection, welded joints before, during, and after welding, and bolted joints tightening. Moreover, overseeing metal decking laying, stud welding, and cementitious fireproofing inspections, coordinating with third-party laboratories for mechanical and chemical testing of materials and fasteners, and witnessing non-destructive testing of welded joints will be part of your duties. You will also ensure welder qualification as per AWS D1.1 standard, prepare QC Dossier, obtain approval of inspection reports from the client, close Non-Conformance reports through correction, root cause analysis, and corrective action, and manage the closure of snag lists during handover. Your qualifications should include: - Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering - Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Project Site QAQC Engineer in structural steel erection for high-rise buildings - ASNT Level II certification in PT, MT, RT & UT - Knowledge of AWS D1.1, IS 2062 & IS 1367 standards and codes As a Project Site QAQC Engineer, your responsibilities will include conducting incoming inspection of structural steel fabricated members, welding consumables, connection bolts, and paint at the project site.
