Structural Engineer Precast Design

Your main focus will be providing technical support in the precast segment, specifically in converting precasters to Dramix steel fiber solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze and design Dramix Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete structural elements, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards - Develop and validate Finite Elements Models for structural analysis using advanced FEA software - Perform manual calculations for structural components and collaborate with the team to explore technical feasibility of structural solutions - Prepare detailed engineering drawings and reports, utilize Excel for engineering calculations and data analysis - Provide technical guidance and support in the use of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete in precast applications - Review architectural and engineering drawings to assess technical feasibility of SFRC solutions - Stay updated with the latest standards and software advancements in the industry - Participate in design reviews and project meetings to ensure project success Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field - Minimum 2 years of experience in structural design, with proficiency in Finite Element modeling and analysis - Knowledge of EN, ASTM, ACI standards and testing methods for precast elements - Strong understanding of structural design principles and hand calculations methods - Proficiency in CAD software and Excel for engineering calculations - Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines - Experience with Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete is a plus Additional Company Details: Bekaert is a company committed to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction.
