Structural Designer - Pipelines (T&D)

The Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Global Practice at Burns & McDonnell, a top-ranking industry leader, is seeking a Structural Designer to join the T&D Pipelines team at Burns & McDonnell India (BMI). This dynamic and self-motivated individual will be based in the Mumbai/Bangalore office and will play a crucial role in supporting the T&D Pipeline Engineering and Design Team. The T&D Pipeline projects encompass a wide range of experiences in cross-country pipeline projects, RNGs, M&R Stations, casing replacements, compressor stations, and more. As a Structural Designer, you will be responsible for 3D modeling using tools like Revit, drafting, running clash checks, and producing construction deliverables for Pipeline Projects. This role involves working on both conventional engineering practices and complex situations, requiring innovative solutions in work practices and procedures. Key Responsibilities: - 3D Modeling and 2D drafting of foundations and steel, including general arrangement drawings using tools like Revit (Structural), Tekla, and AutoCAD. - Producing construction deliverables such as foundation plans, elevations, sections, detail drawings, steel plans, location layouts, and bill of quantities. - Coordinating with other disciplines to develop clash-free 3D models and drawings. - Managing assigned scope within schedule, budget, and quality norms. - Assisting Engineers in preparing and reviewing deliverables for the discipline. - Effective communication and collaboration with USA counterparts. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of experience or ITI with 8 years of experience. - Experience in industrial/commercial design drafting, general arrangement drawings, foundation and steel layouts, and modeling of steel and foundations. - Proficiency in 3D conceptual skills, international codes and standards (AISC, ACI, PIP), and tools such as Revit (Structural) and AutoCAD. - Knowledge of coordination tools like Navisworks and Microsoft Office Suite. - Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills. This is a full-time position based in Mumbai, India, and does not require travel.
