1. POSITIONS VACANT: Android Developer, International Not-for-Profit Organization, Jaipur, Rajasthan 2. ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUND: Our client is a respected international not-for-profit, that works in public health, to improve the health of disadvantaged communities, across the globe. 3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES: The Android Developer ( AD ) will be responsible for the development, optimization and maintenance of healthcare android applications in the state of Rajasthan in collaboration with the National Health Mission. The primary role will be the review, maintenance and development of Android applications and its integration with back-end services, review and understand business requirements, working with cross-functional teams, develop and enhance user-facing features in accordance with design and consistent with business objectives, design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Android code. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization. 4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES: Qualifications and Experience (1) Bachelor's or Masters degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent With two to four years of work experience in Android development; (2) More than four years of experience is required for a Sr. Android developer; (3) Proficiency in GitHub, information technology and application structure, problem-solving, android development, and technology infrastructure; (4) Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON; (5) Experience with third-party libraries and APIs. Skills and Competencies: (1) Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android Developer using Kotlin, Java, Android NDK; (2) Different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes; (3) Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services; (4) Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices; (5) Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning; (6) Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces; (7) Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks; (8) Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements; (9) Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications; (10) Experience with benchmarking and optimization; (11) Understanding of Googles Android design principles and interface guidelines; (12) Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git Familiarity with continuous integration; (13) Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies; (14) Fully responsible for mobile app development; (15) Build and publish applications in app stores; (16) Implement new technologies to maximize application performance. 5. CONSULTANCY FEE: The consultancy fee budgeted for the assignment is INR 50,000/- per month. 6. LOCATION: Jaipur, Rajasthan (Work from Home) 7. NATURE OF CONTRACT : The selected candidate shall be engaged as a Consultant on the rolls of SAMS , a third-party payrolling agency, for a full-time consultancy engagement initially offered for a period of 20 days. The contract is extendable based on performance and project requirements. It is explicitly clarified that this consultancy engagement does not constitute a promise or guarantee of future employment, with SAMS , or our client, or any other organization associated with the project. 8.
