Job Description

Requirements STP Supervisor Responsibilities (Sewage Treatment Plant)
1. Operations Management

Monitor and control sewage treatment processes (aeration, sedimentation, sludge handling).

Supervise start-up, shutdown, and maintenance of pumps, blowers, and other plant equipment.

Ensure proper operation of biological and chemical treatment stages.
2. Maintenance Oversight

Schedule and supervise regular preventive maintenance.

Troubleshoot equipment failures and coordinate repairs.

Ensure timely calibration of sensors, meters, and control systems.
3. Compliance & Reporting

Maintain records of plant performance, effluent quality, sludge disposal, and chemical usage.

Ensure compliance with local and national pollution control regulations (e.g., CPCB/SPCB in India).

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management and regulatory bodies.
4. Staff Supervision & Training

Supervise plant operators and technicians.

Conduct regular safety drills and on-the-job training.

Schedule shifts and assign duties.
5. Safety & Environmental Protection

Implement and enforce safety protocols.

Respond to emergencies like equipment failure, spills, or power outages.

Monitor and minimize odors, noise, and environmental impacts.
