Job Description

Job Purpose & Key Responsibilities

Purpose:

We are looking for a Store Manager to take full responsibility for the safe, secure, and compliant storage and handling of all raw materials. This role is critical to our manufacturing operations, requiring a sharp eye for detail, a deep understanding of chemical storage protocols, and strong leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have a background in chemistry and proven experience managing warehouses in a high-purity manufacturing environment like chemical, pharmaceutical, or battery materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory & Warehouse Management:

  • Oversee the entire warehouse lifecycle: receipt, inspection, storage, issuance, and reconciliation of all raw materials.
  • Ensure 100% inventory accuracy through rigorous cycle counting, physical audits, and disciplined transaction processing in SAP.
  • Manage critical storage conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity) for sensitive and hazardous materials.
  • Utilize SAP/WMS to optimize warehouse layout, track inventory levels in real-time, and generate reports.

  • Quality, Compliance & Safety:

  • Maintain strict adherence to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols and quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
  • Lead internal and external audits (quality, safety) and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to effectively quarantine non-conforming materials and prevent their use in production.
  • Ensure safe handling procedures for hazardous materials are strictly followed.

  • Team Leadership & Operations:

  • Lead, train, and manage a team of warehouse associates, fostering a culture of safety, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Streamline warehouse operations for maximum efficiency in material receipt and issuance to support production schedules.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities.
  • Manage warehouse logistics, including coordination with suppliers and logistics providers.

Education & Experience

  • Master of Science (MSc) in Chemistry or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a warehouse or stores supervisory/managerial role.
  • Prior experience in a chemical, pharmaceutical, high-purity, or other high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS), preferably SAP.
  • Experience with hazardous materials storage and handling protocols.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing audits (e.g., ISO, IATF, internal EHS).
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, including FIFO and cycle counting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
