Store Assistant

The Store Assistant is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day store operations including receipt, storage, handling, issuing, and dispatch of materials, ensuring proper stock control, cleanliness, and timely support to operations and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities1. Store Operations

• Assist in receiving materials from suppliers and checking quantity, quality, and specifications against purchase documents.
• Properly stack, label, and store materials as per category (fasteners, pipes, valves, welding consumables, safety items, etc.).
• Maintain cleanliness and safety inside the store and storage areas.

2. Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate stock records (manual registers / Excel / ERP / Tally as applicable).
• Assist in regular stock verification and physical inventory checks.
• Report shortages, damages, excess stock, or slow-moving items to the Store In-Charge.

3. Material Issue & Dispatch

• Issue materials against approved requisitions or delivery challans.
• Assist in packing, loading, and dispatch of materials as per delivery schedule.
• Coordinate with transporters, drivers, and dispatch team for timely deliveries.

4. Documentation & Records

• Maintain inward and outward registers, delivery challans, gate passes, and stock ledgers.
• Assist in barcode/QR code scanning (if applicable).
• Support accounts and operations teams by providing stock and issue details when required.

5. Safety & Compliance

• Follow safety procedures while handling heavy materials and equipment.
• Use PPE such as safety shoes, gloves, helmets, etc., as required.
• Ensure materials are stored safely to avoid damage or accidents.

6. Support Functions

• Assist senior store staff in audits, inspections, and management reviews.
• Perform any other store-related duties assigned by management from time to time. Educational Qualification
• Minimum: 12th / Graduate

Experience

• 0–2 years experience in store, warehouse, or industrial supply environment
• Freshers may be considered for junior roles

Working Conditions

• Warehouse / industrial environment
• ITI / Diploma (Mechanical / Fitter / Storekeeping) – preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
