Storage Engineer

As a Technology Specialist with a focus on NetApp Storage, your role will involve deploying high-performance, enterprise storage solutions. You will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: - Deploy, configure, and upgrade NetApp AFF, FAS, and E-Series storage systems. - Implement NetApp ONTAP (Data ONTAP/SANtricity) in high-availability environments. - Integrate storage solutions using SAN/NAS protocols such as iSCSI, Fibre Channel, NFS, CIFS/SMB. - Collaborate with pre-sales engineers and clients to design tailored storage architectures. - Perform physical hardware installation (rack & stack), site audits, and system handovers. - Troubleshoot technical issues, escalating to NetApp Support when necessary. - Create comprehensive diagrams, configuration notes, and installation documentation. - Follow best practices and standards (NCIE/NCDA/NCSE) for NetApp deployments. - Apply data protection strategies including LUN provisioning, SnapMirror, and snapshots. - Coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines and service level agreements (SLAs). Your qualifications should include: - 4+ years of hands-on NetApp storage installation experience. - Proficiency in ONTAP CLI and System Manager. - Solid understanding of network infrastructure including Ethernet, Fibre Channel, Cisco, and Brocade. - Experience with NetApp tools such as Active IQ, AutoSupport, Unified Manager, and Config Advisor. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Willingness to travel to customer sites within Bangalore as required. Educational Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
