Job Description

Plan, design, and execute end-to-end database migration strategies from Oracle to PostgreSQL on GCP
Analyze existing Oracle schemas, data models, stored procedures, and performance characteristics to ensure compatibility with PostgreSQL
Use tools like Google Database Migration Service (DMS), Ora2Pg, or custom ETL pipelines for data and schema conversion
Ensure data integrity, security, and minimal downtime throughout the migration process
Collaborate with application developers, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless transition and performance optimization
Implement monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery strategies for PostgreSQL databases on GCP.
Document the migration process, challenges, and resolutions for future reference and standardization
