Role Overview: As a Steel Pipe Plant at Welspun World, you will be responsible for managing and supervising the finishing operations of seamless stainless steel pipes. Your role will involve ensuring that all processes, from heat treatment to final inspection and dispatch, are executed according to quality, safety, and production standards. You will play a crucial part in optimizing production efficiency, maintaining equipment reliability, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and international standards. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise and monitor all finishing processes such as heat treatment, pickling & passivation, straightening, cutting, end-facing, hydro testing, marking, and packaging. - Ensure pipes meet dimensional and surface quality standards by reviewing and interpreting product drawings and specifications. - Optimize production parameters to achieve target productivity and reduce process waste. - Coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA/QC) for in-process and final inspections to ensure compliance with standards like ASTM A312, A213, A269, etc. - Support corrective and preventive actions for non-conformities and maintain proper documentation and records of production and quality data. - Monitor the performance of finishing line equipment and coordinate with maintenance for preventive maintenance schedules. - Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures and environmental standards during finishing operations and promote a culture of safe working practices. - Participate in process improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, etc., and analyze process data to identify areas for productivity or quality improvement. Qualifications Required: - 2 years of experience in a similar role. - Proficiency in Global Mind-set, Production Planning and Control, Business & Commercial acumen, Product Knowledge_SMS_Engineering_Rolling Mill_Pipe Plant, People Excellence, Manufacturing Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Computer Skills.
