Steel Foreman

Position Summary:

The Steel Foreman will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all steel and reinforcement-related works at the project site, ensuring structural quality, adherence to drawings, timelines, and safety standards. The role involves managing a team of fabricators, bar benders, and helpers while maintaining coordination with the engineering and QA/QC teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise all

  steel reinforcement and fabrication activities

  at the site as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensure correct

  cutting, bending, placement, and tying

  of reinforcement steel as per structural requirements.
• Verify and cross-check

  bar bending schedules (BBS)

  and ensure materials are prepared accordingly.
• Coordinate with the

  Planning, QA/QC, and Site Execution teams

  to meet daily and weekly work targets.
• Ensure proper

  storage, handling, and protection

  of reinforcement steel at site.
• Inspect formwork and rebar before concrete pouring and obtain necessary clearances.
  
• Maintain

  manpower allocation

  , monitor productivity, and ensure optimum utilization of labor and materials.
• Enforce

  safety protocols

  and ensure compliance with all site safety regulations.
• Report daily work progress, material consumption, and issues to the Site Engineer/Project Manager.
  
• Liaise with the

  Procurement and Stores teams

  for material requirements and inventory checks.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Qualification:

  Diploma / ITI in Civil or Structural or equivalent.

• Experience:

  4+ years of experience in

  reinforcement and steel works

  in high-rise residential or commercial projects with a reputed real estate or construction firm.
• Strong understanding of

  bar bending schedules, reinforcement detailing, and structural drawings

  .
• Proven leadership skills to manage and motivate site teams.
  
• Knowledge of

  safety practices and site procedures

  .
• Ability to read and interpret

  engineering drawings and specifications
